Fiscal 2022 special exhibition “100 Years From the 100 Years to the 100th Anniversary of the Designation of Tagajo Historic Sites”
Period Saturday, October 1, 2022 〜 Sunday, October 23, 2022
2022 is a milestone year, 100 years since the Taga Castle Ruins was designated as a historic site.
At the beginning of the Edo period, the discovery of the Taga Castle Monument revealed that the archeological site in the Ichikawa and Ukishima districts was the site of Taga Castle.
Since then, as a result of research and protection activities by local residents, the archeological site has been maintained well, and it became a historic site early in 1922. In the exhibition, we will look back on Ayumi of the past 100 years, and introduce the future of Taga Castle ruins from the three-dimensional restoration of Taga Jonanmon Gate and its surroundings, which will proceed toward the 1300th anniversary of Taga Castle in 2024. In addition, coloring paintings of Taga Jonanmon by children who will be responsible for Taga Castle in the future will be exhibited, so please come and visit us.
