Solo exhibition "Poton"
Author: Kouka Shibata was born in Tagajo City and raised in Tagajo City. He graduated from Akita Public Art University this spring and is a newcomer for his first year as a writer. At Tagajo Junior High School, he belonged to the art department, majored in Western painting at Miyagino High School, and majored in arts and roots at university. Based on my research, I create oil paintings and installation works.
Solo exhibition: The university graduation works (3 oil paintings) and works created for this solo exhibition will be exhibited.
1300-- foundation stone has quietly looked at all of that long time. After a long time after returning to Taga Castle, when I visited the ruins of the government office, not only its size, but also the presence of foundation stone that would have spent the eternal time. At that small place overlooking Tagajo City at dusk, I felt like something had fallen into my body as "Pon", and started the challenge of trying to capture Shibata's 1300 years. The large stone involved in the beginning of Taga Castle will be Shibata's first work to take the first step as a writer.
Among those who come to the solo exhibition, "Pon" was also held.――
