Tagajo celebrates its 1300th anniversary in 2024 (Ryowa 6). The only historical document that proves that this memorable year is the Tagajo Monument, which is designated as a national important cultural property. The inscription on the Taga Castle monument clearly states that "Taga Castle was founded in the first year of Kamikame (724)," which has been proved by excavations.
In 2024, at the milestone year of the memorable 1300th anniversary, we learned about the historical significance and value of Taga Castle Monument, raised the momentum of blessing with many citizens, the importance of Taga Castle Monument, Taga Castle We planned to tell the history of the castle to the future.
